SR Technics reduced the turn around time for an Airbus A320 Family intermediate layover check (IL-check) to 14 days. This is a market-leading TAT for an IL-check, resulting in substantial benefits for operators.
SR Technics’ IL-check for the A320 Family contains all 6Y / 24,000 FH MPD tasks and includes stripping and repainting of the fuselage and vertical tail, as well as a standard cabin refurbishment package, if required. Operators looking for a major cabin refurbishment or overhaul can run this in parallel, taking advantage of SR Technics’ long-standing experience in advanced cabin modifications.
In addition the A320 Family A-check interval for some customer aircraft has been increased from 600 to 800 flight hours. This is currently the highest interval available on the market and leads to a reduction of more than 30 percent for A-check related costs.
Another example is our D-check. This contains all 12Y / 8C / 6Y / 24,000 FH MPD tasks and requires a ground time of 21 calendar days. The ground time includes full stripping and painting of the fuselage, wings and horizontal / vertical tail, as well as a standard cabin refurbishment package. The final length of ground time depends on the work package and the extent of modification required.
SR Technics’ short ground times are achieved by using lean production methods on the aircraft and in the shops, as well as through detailed workflow planning from our highly skilled personnel. Customers benefit from increased aircraft availability, generate considerably more revenue and lower maintenance costs.
